Electronics Manufacturing Service company TT ems – located in Rogerstone, near Newport in South Wales, has joined forces with Motion Media Technology to manufacture the very latest videoconferencing innovation: the mm745 IP Browser Videophone.
Motion Media is a world leader in the design of video communication products and TT ems is a subsidiary of the global electronics manufacturing company TT electronics. The contract with Motion Media is being undertaken at TT ems' Rogerstone site.
The mm745 IP Videophone, created and designed by Motion Media, is a simple, flexible and affordable system which can be used over an IP (Internet Protocol) network to provide premium quality video and audio together with an integrated web browser. It has a unique feature-rich phone book, a high resolution, colour, touchscreen display and delivers the very best in ‘hands-free' video/audio conferencing capabilities.
TT ems is manufacturing the 10 unique circuit boards used within each individual videophone and has assisted in the design for manufacture of the intricate mm745 unit within which the boards are housed, together with the various sub-assemblies. All elements are tested extensively and the end product is then finally packaged at TT ems' Rogerstone facility.
Videophones and Videoconferencing are now widely used for a number of different applications, alongside more commonly recognised uses in corporate communications and the provision of training and education. Systems can also support value-added services, facilitated via Internet connection.
