TTems Rogerstone Has Investors In People Award Reconfirmed

Rogerstone electronic manufacturing services provider TT ems, a subsidiary of the global electronics manufacturing company TT electronics plc, has had its Investors In People Award reconfirmed, for its commitment to staff development.

The company originally obtained the qualification from Education and Learning Wales (ELWa) in 2000 but each company must be reassessed every three years to ensure that the same high standards are being maintained. Arnold Jones, an independent Investors in People assessor, interviewed over 30 TT ems employees to ensure that the company has set a level of good practice of staff development to help the company achieve its business goals.

Philip Lawrence, Director and General Manager for TTems says:

"Becoming part of the Investors in People Award has given staff a major boost because they have become more motivated and confident about the work they undertake. This makes for a happier workforce, something which ultimately has a significant impact on the success of the overall business."

Ros Rayner, a TT ems Quality Systems Engineer who was interviewed by Arnold Jones as part of the reassessment programme, says:

"The Investors in People Award has had a really positive effect on the culture at TT ems. Staff feel that more time is being taken to ensure we have the right training and development to achieve our goals, and this has given us all a lot of confidence."
