TTems SHOWCASES ITS SERVICES AT FARNBOROUGH 2006

At the Farnborough International Airshow 2006, TT electronic manufacturing services Limited underlines its position as a leading electronics assembler, integrator, and tester (AIT) to the defence and aerospace sectors by participating on the Aerospace Wales stand – Stand E10 in Hall 4.

Through successful partnerships with leading names in the UK and US defence and aerospace industries, TTems has carved a niche for itself as an EMS services provider delivering a full range of design, manufacturing, test, and through-life services. TTems is committed to creating long-term partnership with customers and suppliers to deliver joint design projects utilising DFM and DFT techniques , and to provide the assurance of continuous improvement in costs and processes through lean and six-sigma practices.

For example, TTems is the supplier of choice for printed circuit board assembly to BAE Systems, Operations in Plymouth, and a member of its Supply Chain Excellence programme, currently delivering products to the NLAW programme incorporating advanced flex-rigid circuits. TTems has a 10-year agreement with Ultra Electronics to share manufacturing of sonobuoy components in support of Ultra Electronics’ long-term partnership with the MoD. For Cobham Defence Communications, TTems is manufacturing PCB assemblies for the LV2 communication system. For Harris Systems, TTems manufactures sub-assemblies for the Bowman and other radio systems.

UK-owned EMS provider TTems, with manufacturing facilities in the UK and also in Malaysia and China, offers bespoke services incorporating assembly and testing of electronic and electromechanical assemblies and finished products, with particular expertise in flex-rigids and RF communications. Complementing its manufacturing capability are concept to end-of-life services including PCB lay-out, DFM, prototyping, NPI, obsolescence management and a UK managed low-cost manufacturing option, all supported by an ongoing capital equipment investment programme.
